I hope to share with you some of the knowledge I have gained after almost two decades of working with people who have been the walking wounded. As adults, we feel as though we should be able to handle life without using some kind of crutch to numb our pain. A crutch might be anything from shopping or over eating, to drug or alcohol abuse, to pornography.
The sad news is that we all suffered injury, (physically, emotionally or spiritually), as children. Some of us get stuck in the place and time where we were hurt. We grow up physically, but we are trapped emotionally. Thus the constant demand by those around us to “grow up.” Perhaps you often ask, “Why do I keep doing this, over and over?”
The good news is there is hope for healing of those childhood wounds. My desire is to tell you about that hope. The Lord sets the prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down. Psalm 146:7-8.
Blessings in the Lamb,
Annette
